The Dragonstrike Assault in 4710 AR was an attack on the Irorium and the Pathfinder Society's Grand Lodge in Absalom by its Shadow Lodge faction.1

During the annual celebration of the city's first military victory and its freedom, the Passion of the First Siege of Absalom, a rogue Pathfinder named Charvion Eater-of-Bones attempted to infiltrate the Society's Grand Lodge on behalf of the Shadow Lodge, a group of former or disgruntled Pathfinders attempting to overthrow the organization's Decemvirate leaders and take control. As part of the assault, goblins and three black dragon associates of Charvion laid siege to the Irorium.1

Aftermath

Pathfinders of the Society ultimately thwarted the assault, but not before many unaffiliated citizens of Absalom died. Casualties included Duldorin Percota, only son of Westgate museum curator Sanloria Percota, whose grief over his loss and anger at the Society inspired her to form the watchdog Peacebuilders organization.2

Foreign Quarter councilor Lord Omrys of House Ahnkamen defended the Society's actions and response during the assault, though a subsequent attack on the Society in 4715 AR that also caused collateral damage to his district began to change Omrys's opinion on the Society's safety and value to the Foreign Quarter.3

The assault brought the Shadow Lodge, until then considered more myth than extant, into the light. After their defeat in a full assault on Absalom, the Shadow Lodge attempted but failed to assassinate Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng by impersonating him and leading Pathfinders on a ruse.4 Following a year of attacks and disruptions by rogue Pathfinders acting in the Shadow Lodge's name, the Decemvirate agreed to recognize the Shadow Lodge as a part of the Society, with Grandmaster Torch as its official leader. In return, Torch agreed to help the Society track down rogue Shadow Lodge operatives.5
