Frying pan

From PathfinderWiki

A frying pan, also known as a skillet, is a flat-bottomed cooking implement with raised sides suitable for frying and searing foods over a flame or heat source.1 Most households in the Inner Sea region own a frying pan.2

Frying pans are also used by gold panners, and are commonly carried by halflings, who also use them with particular proficiency as heavy blunt weapons3 and enjoy discovering new uses for them.4

Construction

Frying pans are most often made from cast iron.3 Skillets made from dawnsilver exist5 but are crafted much less frequently due to the metal's cost and rarity.6 Like other dawnsilver cookware, dawnsilver frying pans are uniquely non-stick.67

In magic

Magic items enchanted for concealment can, if designed in such a manner, transform from a frying pan into a weapon made of the same material.8

In religion

The frying pan is the favored weapon of the deities Cong9 and Emmeton Galardaria.10

Notable users

  • Jak Crimmy is renowned for her ability to juggle frying pans.11
