Emmeton Galardaria is a deity of the bonds within and between communities and families.1

History

Born as a mortal halfling missing a hand and abandoned as a child, Emmeton Galardaria grew to become an infamous highway robber who stole from those with much and gave to those with little. The spread of legends about his escapades eventually granted him—or, in some tellings, stole—a small fraction of deific power, even as his followers grew less particular about who they targeted. An ill-advised attack on Desna when she peacefully confronted him about the actions of his devotees left him greatly wounded and in the charitable care of a small village.

That the village's residents gave him aid even as they were suffering from the actions of his own followers awoke Emmeton Galardaria's empathy, sense of duty, and purpose. Renouncing thievery and taking action to stop the banditry of those following his example, he rose to become the god of the civic virtues of cooperation and shared defense.1

Worshipers

Emmeton Galardaria's worshipers are often itinerant travelers who aid the communities they pass through on their journeys. His rise to godhood with his perceived disability inspires many with congenital or acquired impairments to follow him, particularly veterans of war whose injuries have disqualified them from continued service.1
