Giant tardigrade

From PathfinderWiki
Giant tardigrade
(Creature)

Giant tardigrades are megafauna tardigrades, which are incredibly hardy animals that vaguely resemble insectoid bears.12

Abilities

Most tardigrades grow to become no larger than a single hair from a humanoid, but rare specimens can grow to become one-foot long and are sometimes referred to as giant tardigrades. Spellcasters who take such a creature as a familiars take on some of its fortitude.1

When exposed to high levels of magic, tardigrades can grow to sizes of up to 15 feet.3 They retain the extreme resistance to natural forms of harm possessed by lesser forms of tardigrades, are also resistant to spirits and void energy, and become even more resilient when forced into a tun state of hibernation.2

A massive giant tardigrade can also create a vacuum of suction with its mouth, which draws creatures in for it to grab and pierce with its spear-like mouth stylets.2
