Krasovnatype
A krasovnatype is a photographic gadget composed of a silvered glass plate charged with electricity from a Stasian coil. When touched or held near a living creature, the plate becomes permanently imprinted with an image of that creature's aura. A trained occultist can then interpret the image to determine the nature of that creature's spellcasting abilities, if any, including any associated magical traditions or capacities as measured by spell rank.
Krasovnatypes are named for Dr. Krasovna Gerenevich of the University of Lepidstadt.1
Variants
A moritype is a krasovnatype imprinted with void energy from the death by electrocution of a creature, typically an insect or mouse exposed to a Stasian coil. It functions in a similar manner, but upon creating an image, a moritype can also drain enough of the depicted creature's aura to temporarily prevent it from casting its most powerful spells.1
