Mark of Yunnarius
The agile dread sloop Mark of Yunnarius is captained by the elf banshee sorcerer Emalynday and crewed almost entirely by undead elves. Three undead deadly archers known as the Unsung Three wield magical bows, rumored to be artifacts from a Ghol-Gani tomb, and prowl the ship's decks.1
History
Emalynday fled the Mwangi Expanse with her lover Imdlara, a barbarian justly accused of murder who lied about her innocence. The couple escaped their pursuers to the Shackles,2 arriving around 4665 AR to Alendruan Harbor on the isle of Kepre Dua. They appealed to the harbor's self-proclaimed queen Kaala Raingold for a ship to Kyonin, and Raingold accepted, commissioning the construction of the Mark of Yuunarius. In return, she requested that the couple establish an alliance between Kyonin and Alendruan Harbor.3
Mutiny and death
After assembling the crew, which included the notorious triplet archers known as the Unsung Three, they set off toward Kyonin. However, Imdlara had plotted to instead use the ship to engage in piracy, and when Imdlara raised the plot to Emalynday, she refused.3
Undeterred and more wicked than Emalynday had believed, Imdlara recruited members of the crew to mutiny. The barbarian slit Emalynday's throat in her sleep while her conspirators killed the Unsung Three, but was quickly struck down after Emalynday rose as a banshee and the Unsung Three rose as baykoks.3
Ghost ship
The Mark of Yuunarius has since terrorized the Shackles and Eye of Abendego as a ghost ship.3 Emalynday pilots the ship at night and retreats from the sun during the day. The ship sails circles around the Eye and pursues any ships that draw near for dozens of miles before eventually breaking off. It lacks cannons and instead attempts to ram and board their target, using the arrows of the Unsung Three and the flight of Emalynday and the witchfire Nylindre to assault from afar. Upon grappling a ship, its crew boards and attempts to kill all aboard.4
Pursuers
As of 4714 AR, Emalynday's father Trindhil still sought Emalynday and had tracked her last known whereabouts to the Shackles. Kaala Raingold has also heard the rumors about the Mark of Yuunarius and seeks information about its fate, having spent considerable money comissioning its construction.4
