Retcon

Imps were lawful evil devils and had the Devil trait in 2E Bestiary 87 and other sources prior to the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project.

As portrayed in Monster Core 206, imps can now be associated with any fiendish Outer Plane and are no longer exclusively associated with Hell. Imps now also fill the role vacated by quasits in the Remaster.

Also as of 2E Bestiary 87, all imps gained the shapeshifting and telepathic abilities previously ascribed to imp consulars in Pathfinder First Edition. Imp relationships to lemures were also removed the 2E Bestiary; prior to the Remaster they spawned directly from Hell, and after the Remaster they spawn directly from their home plane.
