Ruthazek
Ruthazek was the last Gorilla King of Usaro in the Mwangi Expanse. Like all his predecessors, he was found worthy to rule by the demon lord Angazhan. He was once human, but (as with all Gorilla Kings) he presented himself at Angazhan's totem, and was found worthy to be killed and reincarnated as a great ape—in his case, a dire ape.1
His strength and combat prowess were formidable, but he also ruled Usaro with considerable cunning and ruthlessness, encouraging his simian subordinates to compete violently amongst themselves to ensure they prevent each other from challenging for his position.1 Ruthazek began training wild ngoga as ferocious mounts for his followers to use,2 and was killed by adventurers in 4710 AR, leading to widespread chaos in Usaro from which it has yet to recover.34
Among the fallout of such chaos, Matanji and Kallijae raiders collaborated to steal the Altar of Angazhan, which prevented a successor from ascending to the title of Gorilla King.5
