Shae1 are shadowy, amorphous creatures native to the Netherworld.2
Appearance
Instead of casting shadows, shae instead transfer umbral energies with nearby shadows. Shae clothing is typically fashioned from such energy and shifts with their constantly changing forms, although shae diplomats sometimes wear conventional clothing, particularly masks made of white stone that present a humanoids-like face. Due to their beliefs that they are superior to such humanoids, shae wear such accommodations only reluctantly and begrudgingly, with the understanding that they make such interactions as expedient as possible.2
