The Spinebreaker Tribe were a tribe of kholos who united to form a coalition that threatened the people of the Mwangi Expanse during the first millennia of the Age of Enthronement.

History

The Spinebreaker Tribe united with two other prominent kholo tribes, the Red Fangs and the Stone Shaper tribe, under the leadership of the Spinebreaker matriarch Hungry Bones in 1054 AR. During this era, as the Matanji orcs and the Mualijae elves focused on facing the demonic threats of the Expanse, the peoples of savanna where left to fend for themselves against an increasingly brazen series of warlords. Once united with the other kholo tribes, the Spinebreakers raided across the Mwangi Expanse, from Elokolobha and Mzali in the south to as far north as Kibwe.

After the death of Hungry Bones leadership of the Spinebreakers and the kholo coalition passed to her daughter Shattered Bones who favoured extorting protection money and tribute from those she raided. After Shattered Bones retired to Kibwe in 1098 AR leadership then passed to her daughter Ashen Bones. With Ashen Bones death the kholo coalition splintered and the Spinebreaker tribe faded from prominence.
