Most published sources date the founding of Fort Korvosa to 4407 AR. Triumph of the Tusk 69 dates it to 4406 AR.

Since Triumph is the newest source of higher canon tier, it should take precedence; however, doing so would conflict with the published year in Gazetteer; Campaign Setting; The Inner Sea World Guide; Guide to Korvosa; Curse of the Crimson Throne Player's Guide; Edge of Anarchy and the Curse of the Crimson Throne hardcover; Cheliax, Empire of Devils; Cheliax, The Infernal Empire; Varisia, Birthplace of Legends; and Lost Omens World Guide.

Guide to Korvosa 49 and Curse of the Crimson Throne hardcover 396–397 are particularly detailed about the events and their timing.

This conflict can be unofficially resolved by changing the year to 4406 AR per the canon policy's preference for newer sources from the same tier, but the scope of what would be overruled suggests that doing so without consensus would be unwise. -Oznogon (talk) 00:07, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
