Varisia, Birthplace of Legends, a Pathfinder Player Companion sourcebook by F. Wesley Schneider, Amber E. Scott, Tork Shaw, James L. Sutter, and Jerome Virnich, was released on August 2, 2012. This issue was the first in the line to use a redesigned and reorganized layout, introducing the "For Your Character" section, "Questions to Ask Your GM" sidebar, a rules index, "Did You Know?" trivia callouts, full-spread artwork, two-page topical sections, and a monthly release schedule.1
