Potential inconsistencies

Reviewing this article, I found some inconsistencies: --Fleanetha (talk) 22:17, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

  • Is Hanspur minor deity or demigod - both are in the text and categories. Some references have god, others demigod, others both. He has the numbers of domain and subdomain for a demigod.
Explicitly called a demigod per Inner Sea Faiths p60 and Planar Adventures p185. -Oznogon (talk) 23:46, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Planar Adventures p185: "he keeps no true realm of his own". Explicitly noted as present in rivers in the Maelstrom/Cerulean Void "and a few remote stretches of the River Styx where it brushes against the Maelstrom" -Oznogon (talk) 23:46, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Inner Sea Faiths p63: "Hanspur’s divine realm is a circuitous system of rivers that stretches across the whole of the Maelstrom ... Hanspur claims a portion of the infamous River Styx"; p60: "Hanspur returned from death ... rising from the Sellen River as a demigod with his latent mortal soul fractured." Unclear whether this supports the Sellen River as being part of his divine realm; I would lean toward no. -Oznogon (talk) 23:46, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
  • Was he a mortal Kellid or not? The text says it is unknown but, in Relationships, states it as fact.
Inner Sea Faiths p60 explicitly states he was a mortal who ascended after death. ISF does state that most mortals aren't clear on this, but also states that his followers know the truth (specifically "Clerics of Hanspur, who are indoctrinated in the deeper mysteries of his faith") as stated—mortal Kellid murdered in the Sellen by a follower of Corosbel. -Oznogon (talk) 23:46, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Inner Sea Faiths p58 statblock also states his nationality as Kellid. -Oznogon (talk) 23:50, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Inner Sea Faiths p63 notes "Hanspur and Gyronna share a grudging respect based on their shared origins as Kellids." -Oznogon (talk) 23:54, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for all this Oznogon. I'd set this aside to look at, but you've done all the hard work. I need to review properly but you've got the measure of this. I wondered whether we needed explanatory refs or conflicts adding for some of these, especially the first: he has had Cat:Minor deities for a long time and I think for a reason but will need to research that more. The second and third look like point of view issues and your tidying up helps. --Fleanetha (talk) 17:02, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
On the demigod/minor deities point, probably a good time also to revisit HTD's navbox proposal on Template talk:Deities navbox. Revisiting the distinction (if any) between demigods and minor deities might be a topic for broader discussion. -Oznogon (talk) 18:05, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
