The vendenopterixes are the divine servitor race of the goddess Calistria. Beautiful and ruthless elven-looking seductresses with ragged insectile wings, they live to hunt and punish those who oppose their faith.1 They are often confused with succubi and are sometimes known by the misleading name "vengeance demons".2 Though they typically take female form, vendenopterixes are comfortable taking the shape of any gendered humanoid (including polygendered creatures) but avoid genderless shapes. Vendenopterixes stand about six feet tall and range in weight from 140 pounds to 240 pounds.1

Some of the offspring of Calistria's herald Menotherian are vendenopterixes.23 One of Calistria's most faithful servants is the vendenopterix Velvet Wing,45 one of Menotherian's direct offspring.2

Inner Sea Gods renames Calistria's servitors to "vendenopterixes", including Velvet Wing and does not mention a connection to Menotherian. They are not evil or demonic.
