Azimbye Baadurlo is a Taralu dwarf and, as of 4725 AR, a professor of folklore at the Magaambya in Nantambu, the Mwangi Expanse.1

Background

Baadurlo is incredibly secretive about their background. Magaambya student Nsentiah noted that Baadurlo often seemed starry eyed whenever they shared a tale of star-crossed romance or desperate survival, but any attempt to steer the conversation toward their past led them to pull back. They also seemed to have a prior lover who was tied to either the Monastery of Unbreaking Waves or Arcanamirium. Rumors abounded that Baadurlo was either once a weapons runner for the Firebrands or a former Lion Blade.

As of 4725 AR, Baadurlo is relatively famous outside of the Magaambya, with their books published as far away as Absalom. They also often give guest lectures at other schools, and they are considered second only to Janatimo in terms of famous modern Magaambyan scholars. Within the Magaambya, however, they are deemed to be too cerebral, even pedantic by some members, and they lack interest in campus life outside of a classroom setting.1

Six Schools' Convocation

In 4725 AR, Baadurlo attended the Six Schools' Convocation hosted by the Academy of the Reclamation in Nerosyan, Mendev as a representative of the Magaambya. There, they hoped to learn more of the traditional tales and storytelling methods of old Sarkoris. 1

Possessions

As many Magaambya members, Baadurlo owns a magical mask; theirs is carved to resemble the head of a giraffe. They also own an Uzunjati storytelling amulet, a magical item tied to their membership in the Uzunjati branch of the Magaambya.1
