Caligni callers, also called dark callers by non-calignis, are inscrutable owb worshipers who often lead caligni communities as religious leaders alongside caligni hunters. Caligni callers also lead the ceremonial ritual of blanching, which determines a newborn's and expose them to the touch of the owb. The sinister touch robs the infant of all of its color and light and determines what subset of dark folk the infant will develop into.

Callers are superstitious beings, and often cruel due to the influence of owbs. They interpret omens in all things and keep their rituals secret even within their communities.
