Firefly sprite
Sprite
Paizo refers to firefly sprites generically as "sprites" prior to, and in most works outside of, Ancestry Guide.
Sprites have the Common trait as creatures, and the default firefly sprite heritage is a common sprite heritage, but sprites are a rare ancestry.
Firefly sprites are the most common type of the fey ancestry known as sprites in both the First World and Golarion. They are often generically referred to, or refer to themselves, as common sprites or simply "sprites".12
Appearance
Like most sprites, the average firefly sprite is nine inches tall.2
Abilities
Firefly sprites shed a primal light which they can kindle or extinguish like a torch, and change the color of with some concentration. The sprite can also imbue their weapons with fire or shoot it.2
Society and culture
Firefly sprites are more magically curious, and more often become obsessed with magical features and locations, than other types of sprite. Firefly sprites are can be in chaotic nature and are very curious about all kinds of magic. They frequently travel to locate and congregate around magical phenomena and sites, such as ley line nexuses, regardless of potential risks until they decide to guard such a site, where they then faithfully remain with steadfast dedication.3 Firefly sprites might also defend other people, places, or objects for incomprehensible personal reasons.2
Because of firefly sprites' size, they must remain wary of potential animal hunters, especially house cats, and prefer to flee rather then fight.2
