Captain Gelviel Zorriah was an elven astronomer from Lirgen whose visions from a magical orrery inspired the construction of the Lirgen's Glory, an ill-fated spaceship launched from Oagon in 4600 AR.[1]
Gelviel's visions culminated in the plans for the Lirgen's Glory in 4598 AR.[2] Believing he was inspired by Desna, Gelviel recruited a crew, built the ship, and launched it into space.
During their expedition, Gelviel and the Lirgen's Glory encountered the true source of his visions: the Emissary from Beyond.[1] The Emissary warped the dream crystals Gelviel's crew used to record their discoveries to twist all of them into bestial id mutants. Gelviel took the form of a frog.[3]
