Captain Gelviel Zorriah was an elven astronomer from Lirgen whose visions from a magical orrery inspired the construction of the Lirgen's Glory, an ill-fated spaceship launched from Oagon in 4600 AR.1
Gelviel's visions culminated in the plans for the Lirgen's Glory in 4598 AR.2 Believing he was inspired by Desna, Gelviel recruited a crew, built the ship, and launched it into space.
During their expedition, Gelviel and the Lirgen's Glory encountered the true source of his visions: the Emissary from Beyond.1 The Emissary warped the dream crystals Gelviel's crew used to record their discoveries to twist all of them into bestial id mutants. Gelviel took the form of a frog.3
