Venorium Blorm is a human sorcerer from Absalom. As of 4725 AR, he is a student at the Arcanamirium.1

Relatives

Blorm's father is Bevran Blorm, a career laborer at Ogrekin Hall in Absalom's Dock District. His mother died in childbirth.2

Background

Blorm was born into poverty in Mudhaven, part of Absalom's Coins District. Seemingly destined for a life in generational poverty, his fate changed when the magic in his blood manifested, first appearing as small fires, slamming doors, and eerie noises. Word of his magical potential reached the Arcanamirium via word of mouth, and in 4720 AR the school offered him a scholarship that he readily took. Shortly after, he began searching for an adventuring spellcaster to apprentice under.1

By 4725 AR, Blorm was still attending the Arcanamirium and working on a method to provide more accessible magical transportation services for the public. One of the developments he had created was a spell that he called disruptive transfer.

When the Arcanamirium was invited to the Six Schools' Convocation called by the Academy of the Reclamation, Blorm was selected to join the delegation. The delegation used his calculations to teleport themselves to Nerosyan, but Blorm was not credited for his work; he believed that one of the school's docents was stealing credit for his work in order to appear impressive to the rest of the faculty. He was still seeking an apprenticeship, but his criteria had shifted—he now required only that the instructor be someone practical that he could trust.3
