Castinlee
Castinlee is an agricultural settlement located in the Swardlands of the Isle of Kortos. It is known for the many orchards of productive fruit and nut trees in the area.12
Geography
The town is 16 miles by road from both Kerrick and Turpin Rowe.1
Government
Castinlee is overseen by a locally elected mayor, which distinguishes it from other Swardlands settlements whose overseers are appointed by the Grand Council of Absalom. As of 4720 AR, Castinlee's mayor was Julpin Crags, a gnome cabbage farmer.2
Economy
Castinlee's rocky but alkaline-rich soil is ideal for growing a wide variety of fruit and nut trees, and the town is referred to by some as the apple capital of the Inner Sea. Among its apple varieties is the namesake Castinlee Crisp.3 It also trades in cherries, peaches, pears, plums, and pecans.12
Notable locations
The Castinlee Hollows Burying Ground, known locally as simply the Hollows, is located on a hillock at the foot of the nearby Sulwen Hills. The Liferoot Stone, the remnants of an aeon tower, is nearby.3
