Stump, originally called Egert, is a fishing village and former logging town in the Swardlands of the Isle of Kortos. It is located northeast of Potter's Lake on the route between Brume and the rest of the Swardlands.1

History

The settlement was founded as the logging town of Egert and was home to up to 600 residents. However, as the northern Immenwood thinned, Egert's population left until the town was nearly abandoned. As of 4720 AR, however, about 50 people had recently moved back into the town for fishing nearby Potter's Lake and maintaining the trade route from Brume.1

Economy

The Welcome Back Inn hostel in the hamlet is run by Elithu Vargan, a gnome who is Stump's de facto leader. The hostel is also known for having excellent frog recipes, particularly for frog legs and stews sourced from giggers of nearby Potter's Lake.1
