Irnakurse
It is believed, when elves are the unlucky victims of fleshwarping,123 for instance, by drow practitioners,4 the result is the twisted and pain-wracked creature known as an irnakurse.'56 The name translated from Elven language means "perfect ones," named by the drow to represent the fruits of their collective hatred towards surface elves.1[citation needed]
Appearance
Irnakurse are a warped mass of protruding bone, baggy flesh, and various limbs and tentacles, giving the impression that the victims' former internal organs are now made external.123
Irnakurse are typically eight to nine feet tall and weigh at least 300 pounds.1[citation needed] All irnakurse made by drow torturers are unique creations.1[citation needed]
Abilities
Irnakurse can understand the languages of Chthonian, Elven, and Sakvroth but are unable to communicate verbally.3
Irnakurse attack with their jaws, but its long flailing tentacle is imbued with occult power to bombard those hit with visions of a corrupted life that usually overwhelms their ability to act when first exposed to this attack. A irnakurse can also produce an occult Soul Scream once per day for over half a minute: an horrific shriek of great horror and pain, causing non-aberrations around it stupefy, potentially for up to several days.3
Habitat and society
Irnakurse periodically emerge from the Darklands to the surface. These sightings persuade some elven scholars that the irnakurse are made from the elves that sought refuge from Earthfall by going underground.3
Drow
Drow create irnakurse to torment surface-dwelling elves, conditioning them to hate and attack other surface elves over any other targets.2 The torturous conversion process destroys the mind and body and can take weeks until it is finished producing what a drow mockingly calls a "perfect" elf.1[citation needed]
If the victim is an elf with a large following or is particularly hated, the process will be made even more painful, creating a stronger irnakurse version called "mockeries," which they keep near them as a kind of living artwork.2
