Lakapuna

Lakapuna (pronounced laa-kaa-POO-nah) is an island in the Rendah Pulu region of Minata, off the southeastern coast of Valash Raj. Lakapuna and the adjacent island Olakapuna contain well-preserved sites of the historical empire of Taumata that are stoutly defended by the island's Tau Nui inhabitants, many of whom claim direct descent from the Taumatan people. Rumors suggest these clans retain invaluable magic and knowledge forgotten elsewhere.✝

The fortress city of Pawainui on Lakapuna is home to the ruler of the Tau Nui people and was once considered Minata's most secure city.
