Sources prior to War of Immortals and Divine Mysteries suggested Lissala was dead.

Divine Mysteries 178 asserts that Lissala's death is a "rumor", through in-universe writing from Yivali's perspective.

War of Immortals 197 confirms that she has disappeared, likely related to her sharing the method of reaching Jandelay with Gimmel, and that her herald—a living vault‐also survives.
