The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Alpha Playtest, released in three free PDF versions between March and May 2008 as part of the Pathfinder RPG playtest, was the first public release of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game rules. The playtest document won the 2008 Gold ENnie Award for best free product. The rules would later be developed into the Pathfinder RPG Beta Release and eventually refined into the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook.
