Pathfinder First Edition content
This article covers a term or subject that is relevant to the Pathfinder campaign setting only in the context of the first edition of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

For other meanings of "Ambrosia", please see Ambrosia (disambiguation).

Ambrosia is a divine magical food that grants its consumer the powers of myth and legend.12

Usage

When eaten, ambrosia cures diseases, neutralizes poisons, and lifts curses from the imbiber. An exhausted being who possesses mythical powers can consume ambrosia to be replenished for the day.1[citation needed]

Ambrosia can also be corrupted by exposure to the Outer Rifts that deprives it of its powers. Those who consume it find it sickening3 and become weakened into docility.4

On Golarion

During the era of the opened Worldwound, its creator Areelu Vorlesh possessed ambrosia,2 as did the worm that walks known as Xanthir Vang.5 The properties of corrupted ambrosia were employed by the succubus Preshea, one of the Pleasers of the Yearning House of Iz, prior to the closing of the Worldwound.4
