This page is a candidate for deletion, because: the cited work does not mention a Clan Mbe'ke; Mbe'ke is a dwarven ethnicity, and nothing in The Mwangi Expanse or other sources suggest the existence a separate family of the same name; Nkobe's hereditary line is not explicitly named.

Clan Mbe'ke was the ruling line that kept the hereditary title of High King within their line until their destruction during the War of Split Hearts.1

History

Clan Mbe'ke had ruled over the Mbe'ke dwarves from the capital of Cloudspire in the Terwa Uplands until the coming of High King Nkobe. Nkobe had always been renowned for being both deeply suspicious and harboring a short temper. After the death of his only son to a rapidly acting disease, High King Nkobe became convinced that he had been poisoned and he began secretly gathering followers and plotting against his enemies. In a pogrom known as the Nine Days of Blood, High King Nkobe executed thousands of Cloudspire citizens, initiating a civil war, the War of Split Hearts, in 3841 AR. By the time the civil war ended in 3844 AR nearly all of Clan Mbe'ke lay dead and their hereditary hold over the title of High King was broken.1 Now the position of High King is an elected position, chosen by the Assembly of Kings.2
