High King Lek'sanji is the High King of Cloudspire, ruler of the Mbe'ke dwarves of the Terwa Uplands.1 The position of High King is not a hereditary one, but is instead elected by the Mbe'ke kings who compose the Assembly of Kings.2
High King Lek'sanji is an aging dwarf who as of 4721 AR found himself overwhelmed by his people's struggles, particularly the ongoing Third Corsair War which has so divided the Assembly of Kings. Lek'sanji—a person inoffensive and unobtrusive enough to all parties that his election offended no one—was elected to the position of High King as a compromise, but he has not risen to the challenges of the role.1
