Nkobe's Hall was once the royal palace of the High King of Cloudspire, but has fallen out of use since the War of Split Hearts. Nkobe's Hall has since remained an abandoned reminder of High King Nkobe's terrible fall as leader of the Mbe'ke dwarves of the Terwa Uplands.1

History

After the Nine Days of Blood, and the ensuing civil war known as the War of Split Hearts, divided the Mbe'ke. High King Nkobe and his followers made their final stand within Nkobe's Hall, all of them dying in the assault, although High King Nkobe's body was never identified due to the sheer carnage of the final battle.

After Nkobe's fall, his successors as the High King of Cloudspire attempted to dwell within Nkobe's Hall, but it soon developed an accursed reputation as people experienced strange noises and visions. After a High King's steward publicly slit his own throat, the building was abandoned and its doors sealed, and the Hall might have been demolished had it not been a structurally integral part of the Sky Citadel itself.

Once a season, a group of dwarven engineers visits Nkobe's Hall to confirm that the structure remains sound and perform any repairs necessary, but never travel alone and exit prior to nightfall.1
