Ollysta Zadrian began her career as a Pathfinder hoping to spread the faith of Sarenrae throughout the world as she adventured, but soon became disillusioned when she found the Pathfinder Society too restrictive. After retiring from the Society, she began the Silver Crusade, an organization of followers of good-aligned deities who hope to use the Pathfinder Society's resources to do good in the world, which operated out of the Temple of the Shining Star in Absalom's Ascendant Court.

She was known to work with Venture-Captain Shevar Besnik. In 4719 AR, Besnik and Zadrian died fighting the forces of the Whispering Tyrant at the Siege of Gallowspire. Zadrian used her sacred longsword to decapitate a wyrmwraith in single combat, but the creature mortally wounded her. There on the battlefield, her goddess Sarenrae's light peacefully laid Zadrian's soul to rest and protected her body against being raised from the dead.

In 4719 AR, reforms to the structure of the Pathfinder Society retired all of the Society's then-existing factions, including the Silver Crusade, and replaced them with new factions such as the Radiant Oath, spiritual successor to the Silver Crusade.
