Ongalte
Ongalte is an Iblydan cyclops hero-god who blames her race's decline on the humans who abuse their gifts; consequently, she seeks to murder all other hero-gods and their allies.1
Background
Ongalte defied ancient conventions by invoking her own myth-speaking, and obtained mythic power when she burnt down the cyclopean temple at Hoimpeia with herself and many colleagues inside. A day later, she emerged unharmed from the ruins.1
Relationships
Ongalte has slain three hero-gods, forcing the others to be extremely cautious. Unable to invade her rivals' citadels and kill them, she encourages her followers to defame them so their cults would fracture and their cities would ostracise them.1
Ongalte's one-time lieutenant was Ytildos, whom she uplifted using her myth-speaking power, before he betrayed her in 4698 AR, either because he discovered her intention to kill him last or embraced her pessimism.1
Ongalte has made several attempts to ally with the thalassic behemoth Ousmariku, who has chased her off every time.1
Cults
Ongalte is usually worshipped by those who feel dissatisfied by the hero-gods or cyclops myth-speakers for various reasons. They murder aspiring hero-gods and cyclopes if they can, or otherwise vilify them by framing them or provoking their rage in public.1
