Sangoshi
Sangoshi was a metropolis on an island off the southeastern cost of Minkai before being overtaken by the Okaiyo Ocean hundreds of years ago. Its ruins are now a coral reef miles off the eastern shore of modern Minkai.1 Tales suggest the ruins rise from the depths for one day every 44 years.2
History
Sangoshi was renowned as a center of the arts and science before crumbling into the sea. In the centuries since the nearby coral reefs have grown into the ruins and become home to siyokoy raiders32 who raid goods and sailors from ships leaving Hiyosai.2
People
Families in Hiyosai with unusually light skin and green eyes claim to be descended from survivors of Sangoshi.3
