Hymbrian Forest

From PathfinderWiki
(Redirected from Southern Hymbrian Forest)

The Hymbrian Forest is a forest in Avistan that spans two parts: the Northern Hymbrian Forest in the River Kingdom of Hymbria, and the Southern Hymbrian Forest in northwestern Galt and southeastern River Kingdoms.1

Northern Hymbrian Forest

The Northern Hymbrian Forest is a large woodland situated between the Hymbrian, Chalkstone, and East Sellen Rivers.1 It composes most of the River Kingdom of Hymbria, a secretive colony of elves from Kyonin who attempted to reclaim the site of Sevenarches from humans. The forest and its immediate surroundings are patrolled by Hymbrian fighters, rangers, and druids.2

Southern Hymbrian Forest

The Southern Hymbrian Forest is a large woodland of oak, ash, and rowan trees3 in northwestern Galt and the southern River Kingdoms. The East Sellen River passes through it.14 Prior to the Red Revolution, several Galtan aristocrats maintained hunting lodges in the area; during the Revolution, the lodges were claimed by revolutionary militias and the wood served as a haven for conspirators and refugees alike.3

Galtan executioners who polluted the East Sellen River by dumping corpses into it would often face the wrath of nuckelavees, fey creatures intolerant of those who contaminate natural waterways, in the forest.5
