Temteki is a unique form of earth elemental bound to protect Ranage's Circle in the Mwangi Jungle. It often assumes the shape of a cypress tree.1

History

Ranage's Circle exists to sustain the binding of the demonic jungle spirit Golokango in black basalt stone. Over the centuries, part of the stone splintered off and fell into the magic-infused soil, where it remained until it spontaneously and unexpectedly achieved sentience, along with an irresitible imperative to help protect the jungle. It named itself Temteki after the sounds emitted by nearby creatures.1

Appearance

Temteki prefers the form of a young cypress tree, but can manipulate its shape quickly and quietly.1

Abilities

Temteki is capable of effortlessly and quietly passing through soil and rock and possesses the strength and many of the traits of an earth elemental, but it also acts with a total lack of fear when fulfilling its protective duties. It can suddenly take imposing forms to scare intruders away and lays traps and snares to capture and deter unsuspecting interlopers.1
