Ydajisk, the Mother of Tongues is a blathering, gender-fluid protean lord of language evolution, lost words, and slang. It owns a veritable collection of lost books, including copies of The Withered Footsteps of the Dire Shepherd, the Chronicle of the Righteous, Book of the Damned, Concordance of Rivals, and rubbings of the Codex of the Infinite Planes.12

Appearance

Ydajisk resembles a shifting skein of iridescent poetry who vaguely looks like an izfiitar, surrounded by sensory outputs that constantly appear and vanish.1

Home

Ydajisk's home is the Library of Stolen Words, which orbits the star-sized, devouring Felikar's Whirlpool in the Maelstrom.12

Cults

Ydajisk's itinerant clergy chronicles languages in danger of extinction due to civilisation collapse, ecological collapse, or divine conflict.1
