Briarbough
Briarbough is a nation in the southeastern Deadshot Lands of western Arcadia. Located between the Crownpeaks and Illani Plains, the forested nation is primarily home to loose bands of beastkin united only by whoever can wield the star gun known as the Rowan Rifle.1
Geography
The dense forests of Briarbough are gouged by an area of ancient blight known as the Firescar, which dates to a failed invasion by the Fire Army of Razatlan.1
Government
Powerful fey custodians determine who among the inhabitants of Briarbough can wield the Rowan Rife, which is both a weapon and insignia of sovereign authority forged from fey-friendly wood naturally infused by djezet. As of 4723 AR these custodians had not awarded the weapon to anyone, resulting in continuous fighting between followers of Varkesh Wolfpaw of Ninebranches and his opposition in the pyromaniac Firescar Bombers.1
