Chakanajes are sahkils who feed on shame and humiliating secrets.1

Appearance

In its natural form, a chakanaj resembles part of a featureless bat composed of a flap of pale flesh and retractable, sharp-edged insectoid legs. Chakanajes can also disguise themselves as mundane objects of similar size, preferably as a mask2 or other article of clothing.3

Abilities

A chakanaj can temporarily bind itself to a host's face or back. When bound to a host, a chakanaj can retaliate against those who attack their host and can deflect any harm directed specifically at them onto their host.3 They prefer to be bound as masks both to see what their host sees as well as to dig their sharp legs into their host's face to further intimidate their host and manipulate their fears.2

Chakanajes can fly faster than they move on surfaces.3

Like other sahkils, chakanajes are relatively keen to be summoned. Chakanajes not bound to the Universe through summoning can move nearly at will between the Ethereal Plane and the Universe. Despite being incorporeal, they can generate significant physical force upon objects in the Universe.2
