Tumblaks are sahkils who feed on claustrophobia and fears of constriction or being buried alive.1

Appearance

Tumblaks resemble compressed coffin-shaped tangles of parts from many bodies.1

Abilities

Creatures near a tumblak struggle to breathe, which enhances the fears that the tumblak feeds upon. They can seed nightmares in creatures and exploit them to paralyze their victims with visions of being buried alive when faced with stressful situations.1

Like other sahkils, tumblaks are relatively keen to be summoned. Unbound tumblaks can move nearly at will between the Ethereal Plane and the Universe. Despite being incorporeal, they can generate significant physical force upon objects in the Universe.1

Ecology

Tumblaks lair in tombs and hunt for victims in the rubble of collapsed buildings. They are knowledgeable about mortal traditions and rites around death and burial, and despite not being undead some tumblaks believe they are subject to methods that deter or calm ghosts, such as soothing prayers or warding bells.1
