The Chapel of the Argent Shield is an Iomedaean temple located on the road between Kenabres and Egede. The chapel's walls are marked by many shrines and tributes honoring the fallen Mendevian Crusaders, as well as art mapping the region's numerous battlefields.

History

The chapel was founded as a shrine to Aroden in 4433 AR, not long after he defeated the avatar of Deskari and its cult in the region.

Notable inhabitants

As of 4716 AR, the chapel was home to several Iomedean crusaders:

• Fifth Sword Urumwi Glabrant, the chapel's persuasive high priestess and former member of Order of Heralds
• Sixth Sword Illiena Beringiol, also formerly of the Order of Heralds
• Retired Chaplain Viorn Olavsson
• Several inexperienced clerics, warpriests, and paladins
• Suweta Predie, the chapel's librarian

The only layperson allowed access to the chapel's interiors was Jessiman Chakoth, the region's sole remaining worshipper of Aroden, who tends to the Arodenite altar located in the temple's crypt.

Their fates as of 4725 AR are unknown.

Notable locations

The chapel includes several additional structures outside of its scope as an Iomedaean temple, located within or near its grounds:

• An underground crypt containing the tombs of Arodenite priests and a haunted altar to Aroden
• An orchard south of the temple, closer to the Estrovian Forest
• Its western holding, which serves as the home of Jessiman Chathok and his grandson Istran
