4716 AR in conflicts
- The Ekujae clan to which Fola Barun belongs is threatened by the Camazotz-corrupted werebat Kaghaze, and requests assistance from the Pathfinder Society.12 The Pathfinders resolve the threat, and Fola becomes an envoy to the Society in the Kaava Lands.2
- Fueled by their triumph over the Chelaxian Navy in 4712 AR and taking advantage of Cheliax's internal strife with Ravounel, the pirates hailing from the Shackles brazenly pillage the port of Corentyn.3
- The Kintargan Rebellion ends with the secession of the Archduchy of Ravounel from Cheliax.4 The region officially forms the nation of Ravounel in the following year.5
- Lord-Mayor Barzillai Thrune of Kintargo sets a trap for the Silver Ravens at an event billed as the Ruby Masquerade. The Ravens defeat Barzillai's agents and devils, however, and in the process also rescue deposed Lord-Mayor Jilia Bainilus and local celebrity Shensen. Many Kintargans and Thrune loyalists die in the event, which is later known as the Ruby Massacre and considered to be the resistance's inflection point in the Kintargan Rebellion.6
- The Silver Ravens discover the Kintargo Contract, a document that includes a clause allowing Kintargo to legally secede from Cheliax and House Thrune's diabolic authority.78
- Barzillai Thrune is exposed for attempting to usurp House Thrune. He then attempts and fails to take control of Cheliax by transforming himself into a genius loci.7

Her growing fame grants her broad influence over Taldan and foreign nobles, which draws the attention of Myro Gravilla, a secret agent of Taldor's Lion Blades, at the following year's festival.14

- Five years after being crowned Empress of Minkai, Amatatsu Ameiko strips the nation's powerful samurai class of some of its privileges.18 The resulting exodus of samurai clans includes some who travel to Songbai, where they contribute to the power struggle over the declining health of Shokuro Akatori.19
- Druma performs the second round of silent auctions for five-year terms of control over the five districts of Alabastrine, following the inaugural auctions of 4711 AR.20
- Frustrated with Unbroken Horn Hold21 chief Hundux Half-Man's inaction following Grask Uldeth's assassination, his advisor Paskis Nine-Knives stages a successful three-day coup and wrests control of the Hold from him.22
Deaths in 4716 AR
- The orc warlord Grask Uldeth is assassinated in Urgir. His steward, Ardax the White-Hair, takes over.23
- The dromaar warlord Hundux Half-Man of the Unbroken Horn Hold24 is executed by his advisor Paskis Nine-Knives following her successful coup.22
- Barzillai Thrune is killed, and his soul is damned to Hell.7
