Reanpharos, also called the City Between Two Rivers, is the capital of the city-state of Pol-Reanpharos in the Iblydan archipelago. It is home of Chinostes, the Fallen Blade, an Iblydan hero-god of tragedy and sacrifice.

People

Chinostes, then a saddler in a village of Pol-Reanpharos, grew in fame after drawing a Sylirican raiding party away from his defenseless neighbors and killing its leader with his trim knife. He then became a hero-god, defender, and leader in Reanpharos for 13 prosperous years.

The hero-god died while hunting a being that he discovered was a vampire too late to protect himself. Shepherds returned his drained corpse to his temple the following day, but he transformed into a vampire that night, killed some of his followers, and fled with others.

Chinostes continues to stalk Reanpharos as both predator and defender, an arrangement that the city's population has broadly accepted.
