Pol-Sylirica
Pol-Sylirica, also known as Sylirica of Seven Armies, is a militaristic, expansionist city-state of the Iblydan archipelago. Its repeated failure to conquer its neighboring city-states has also earned it the moniker "Sylirica of Six Failures" among them.1

Geography
Pol-Sylirica is south of,2 and shares a border with,3 Pol-Liachora. Ruins in the hills near the border are the target of studies by Professor Aphaes Kirnaeus, a researcher of Cyclops Reclamation at the university of Daskadei of Aelyosos in Pol-Liachora. These hills are also home to hippogriffs, wyverns, minotaurs, and a purportedly winged leucrotta.3
Relationships
The city-states of Pol-Liachora and Pol-Ptirmeios have a military alliance against Sylirican aggression.2
History
Pol-Sylirica has invaded and raided its neighbors numerous times. Notable invasions include the raid that destroyed the village and killed the family of Kelksiomides in Pol-Ptirmeios, whose forgiveness for his attackers led to his transformation into a hero-god.4 The fourth failed Sylirican invasion of Pol-Liachora was memorialized in Aelyosos by the construction of the Odeon Triumphant.5 A Sylirican raid of a village in Pol-Reanpharos was defeated by Chinostes, who killed the assailants with his trim knife and subsequently became a hero-god.6
Economy
Pol-Sylirica's exports include cattle,7 copper products, and oil. The city-state is also known for its mercenary forces for hire.8 Sylirican lemons, renowned for being ground and preserved as seasoning,9 presumably originate in Pol-Sylirica.
