Per scholars of Iblydan history, Pol-Liachora is one of the archipelago's nine great historical city-states. Its inheritor-capital is Aelyosos, filling the role since the destruction of its sister city and former capital Liachora by the thalassic behemoth Ousmariku during the dawn of the Age of Lost Omens.1

Government

See also: Aelyosos

Pol-Liachora is governed from the inheritor-capital city of Aelyosos by the absolute authority of the hero-gods Psomeira and Kelksiomides. They are advised on matters by other prominent figures, such as Chief Myth-Speaker Phimater and the oceanid aristocrat Sjoweir, as well as by a non-binding council of local representatives.2

Relationships

Pol-Ptirmeios maintains a military alliance with Pol-Liachora against their expansionist neighbor Pol-Sylirica.2 Notable Sylirican invasions of Pol-Liachora include the fourth failed Sylirican invasion, which was memorialized in Aelyosos by the construction of the Odeon Triumphant.3

Economy

Pol-Liachora's exports include pearls, mekian honey treats such as mekainae, pickled fruits, a type of fermented fish called chirzos,4 and brined lonoma eels.5
