Cantors are the scouts and guides of the velstracs. Their minds have been broken and remade into little more than tools.1

Appearance

A cantor appears as a childlike humanoid with glowing red eyes whose entire skin has been removed, revealing cords of gray musculature. It stands a mere three feet tall and weighs less than 50 pounds.1

Abilities

The touch of a cantor is supernaturally toxic, lingering in its victim's mind like a poison and causing the victim to feel vividly the pain of the velstrac's claws.21 A cantor's soundless scream causes those who succumb to it to believe the cantor has grown even more terrifying and is making a direct assault against them, while at the same time the cantor becomes invisible. A creature that succumbs to a cantor's unnerving gaze are telepathically wracked by agonising pain.1

Ecology

The creation of a cantor shatters and reforges its consciousness, making it a weapon against reality and a scalpel to excise sanity. They serve as scouts and guides to other velstracs, and throng the ruined halls of Netherworld fortresses.1
