The Enduring Jade Clan is one of Quain's martial Four Great Sects and is centered on the Yu Family.1

Structure

Parent to child, the Enduring Jade Clan passes down secret marital techniques and builds upon them in each generation. The members of the Enduring Jade Clan are exclusively either Yu Family, by birth or marriage, or are befriended to a member of said family.1 Those born into the Yu Family are destined for greatness, and are instructed to only associate with those of similar rank. If a friend is unable to live up to expectations, the friend is quickly removed from the Yu Family social circle. The Yu Family matriarch and leader of the Enduring Jade Clan is Yu Hua, a beastkin half-tengu elf cultivator grandmaster.2

History

The Enduring Jade Clan's ancestors founded Quain's capital of He Ming3 centuries ago. The Yu Family progenitor, Yu Ma, was one of the first grandmasters in Quain, now honored by a statue in the town square.4

Four Winds Conference

The cultivation ability of the Enduring Jade Clan is linked to fall, when their practitioners receive a surge in power and innovation ability. At the start of fall, the clan hosts the Four Winds Conference, where martial artists from around Quain convene to trade techniques, forge bonds, and observe their rivals' improvements—though duels are strictly prohibited. An invitation to this conference is considered a testament to one's martial mastery and repute.1
