He Ming (pronounced huu ming)1 is the rowdy capital of Quain, in southern Tian Xia, and home to the nation's temples and government. Its heroes often demolish property while testing themselves and each other in its bustling streets, to such a point that tradesfolk have a well-known saying about the city: "To grow rich, move to He Ming."23

Government

He Ming became the location of the Vestal Throne of the monarch emeritus,4 replacing the past hereditary monarch rule of King Wen.2 The monarch emeritus is served by the Council of Recanters.5 As of 4724 AR6 the monarch emeritus was Nelongso.4

History

Jiao Deng Shu, emperor of Shu, moved his capital to He Ming to ease tensions with Nagajor.7

The city is the ancestral home of the Enduring Jade Clan, and a statue of Yu Family progenitor Yu Ma—one of Quain's first grandmasters—stands in town square.3

Because of the destruction of property and building caused by cultivators duels, they Council of Recanters has recently created several sanctioned arenas to conducted such duels. Even so, many Quain carpenters and masons say "To grow rich, move to He Ming."3
