Temple of the Whispering Spider

The Temple of the Whispering Spider is a ruined temple of Lao Shu Po, located in Eryiu Forest of northwestern Quain, that is now inhabited by an enormous arachnid said to be the spirit of a cursed ancient priestess or royal maiden who rejected being sacrificed to have her heart become a celestial pearl. Villages near the temple revere her as living testament of righteous defiance in the face of evil. They also say the arachnid is the only thing holding back the spirits believed to live within the temple and leave regular offerings of silver, forage, and meat at its entrance.
