Timeline of Magnimar
Below is a short timeline of the major events of Magnimarian history.
- 4584 AR: Alcaydian Indros, a Knight of Aroden, leads an expedition into western Varisia, discovering the Irespan and founding Magnimar.1
- 4608 AR: Indros, disgusted with Korvosa, leads thousands of pilgrims to Magnimar, greatly swelling the city's population.1
- 4611 AR: Magnimar annexes Wartle.2
- 4619 AR: Varnagan Draston-Meir becomes the second lord-mayor.2
- 4623 AR: Dread spider-like creatures known as shriezyxes are loosed from the Giant's Bridge by workers quarrying for stone to be used for building monuments.2
- 4629 AR: The Twilight Academy, and Galduria by extension, is founded by Galdurin Barmier.2
- 4641 AR: Nybor is founded.2
- 4666 AR: Sandpoint is founded.2
- 4671 AR: Magnimar annexes Wolf's Ear.2
- 4693 AR: Magnimar annexes Ravenmoor.2
- 4700 AR: Haldmeer Grobaras becomes lord-mayor.2
- 4712 AR: Adventurers reconstruct the lost Sihedron, inadvertently causing the emergence of the isle of Xin from the nearby sea. This triggers a tsunami that inflicts damage on ports as distant as Hermea.3
