The Winding Wood is the abyssal realm of the demon lord Shivaska. It is a gloomy, temperate wilderness.
Shivaska's palace, known as the Ticking House, is an immense workhouse. Its most notable feature is a huge clock, whose dial is split into thirteen hours. The clock is kept running by the slave labour of large numbers of stolen children.1
