Sacred sentinels are martial devotees of Torag who focus on protection and strategy among the deity's portfolio's areas of concern. Sacred sentinels are front-line combatants, and they value mobility, so many sacred sentinels are mounted paladins or cavaliers. The majority of sacred sentinels are dwarves, but Toragdans of other ancestries are sometimes called to serve. For example, in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, the Ulfen fighters of the remarkably lawful order known as the Linnorm Guard provide protection for both Linnorm Kings and their allies, be they visiting dignitaries, old boon companions, or even hidden lovers or paramours.
